The Camano 31 "Troll" is an iconic design that has stood up well to the test of time. Simple yet comfortable this boat is designed for a couple to go and explore. Many windows means you can enjoy scenic anchorages and passages for the comfort of the cabin. Yet the large window area is subdivided into enough segments that structural rigidity is maintained.
The KeelForm hull design of the Camano 31 is unique and well-regarded for its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency. The deep, hollow v-shaped keel provides about 25% of the hull's displacement, and above displacement speeds helps lift the stern so that water runs cleanly off the transom, thus maintaining a more linear speed-fuel relationship up to 17 knots. An additional benefit of the Keelform hull is that the engine is mounted in the keel, lowering the center of gravity. The boat heels very little even in tight turns. The owners speak of its stable performance in difficult sea conditions and its fuel efficiency, especially at speeds from 10 - 14 knots that are difficult for planing or displacement hulls of this size.
The hull is laid up with solid, hand-laid fiberglass below the waterline and with foam coring above the waterline. The windlass and deck fixtures are backed with metal backing plates.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Broker's Comments
One of the last Camano 31s built -- making it the most evolved in the large fleet! And this vessel has significant upgrades. New carpet, upholstery and head have never been cruised. The Volvo D4-225 electronic engine is just getting broken in. She looks great on the outside too! Many thoughtful upgrades like engine room lights, oil change system and electric lift on the main hatch makes her the most refined Camano 31 on the market.
