Cabin(s) 2

Boarding astern is from a large swim platform (with the hull extending under most of it) though the transom door. Alternately boarding is from side access doors in the bulwarks. The covered cockpit is quite large and can accommodate several deck chairs. The sturdily-built wide sliding aft cabin door provides entry to the saloon, which is surprisingly roomy for a europe-styled trawler with covered side decks (owing to the wide beam of the boat). The galley is starboard and features granite countertops. Drop-down cabinets overhead store galley supplies and the flat-screen TV. To port is the convertible U-shaped dinette. Galley storage is in three deep drawers and storage beneath the settee. The companion seat and nav station is forward port -- with seating for three (perfect while underway) and a pull-out table. The starboard helm has a sliding door to the side deck and a double-wide bench seat. All-around visibility is terrific.

The master cabin has a queen bed, hanging lockers port and starboard, six storage drawers, two storage cabinets and underberth storage.

The guest cabin is a clever layout with a roomy double berth and a fold-up writing desk.

Storage is fitted in everywhere -- lockers and cabinets and drawers abound.

High bulwarks provide security when walking around the exterior. A secure ladder and sturdy hatch cover enable access to the flybridge.

The flybridge has a pedestal helm seat and U-shaped dining settee. An entertainment cabinet is suitable for installation of an icemaker or grill or refrigerator or all of the above. As with the entire exterior of the boat, the design of the flybridge is uncluttered and obviously intended to be simple to maintain and easy to clean. And there is room to store two long kayaks.

Cabin heat is provided by a Webasto diesel-fired forced air furnace. And for fresh air this boat has seven opening windows (including an opening windshield window), four opening stainless steel portlights, and an overhead hatch in the master stateroom.

Broker's Comments

A sharp looking contemporary version of the classic europa-styled trawler, the Helmsman Trawlers 37 Sedan in this new two stateroom configuration is a lot of boat. And it fits in a 40 foot slip.

The interior is remarkably beautiful with its teak and holly joinery, many windows, and custom lighting. The master stateroom is luxurious. The guest stateroom is roomy with its clever layout, and provides office workspace with a fold-down desk. A unique feature is the L-shaped forward-facing companion seat -- great seating for the admiral and guests while underway or in port. This sedan trawler has a surprisingly roomy interior because of the boat’s wide beam, and yet provides safe exterior covered walkarounds on both sides of the boat. The flybridge is designed for entertaining with seating for six or more and the bridgedeck has space to mount a dinghy if desired. Otherwise the swimdeck provides excellent support for a hefty dinghy with the extended hull beneath.

This new model has an off-white (a deep, lustrous champagne coloration) hull and superstructure and tan non-skid decks. Other features include a full Simrad navigational suite, side deck entry doors, leather interior upholstery, custom interior lighting and entertainment equipment.

This boat features the 380 hp Cummins QSB 5.9 electronically-controlled common rail engine upgrade and trim tabs.
