Broker's Comments
Hunter Marine, an American boatbuilder had a period of building some of the Legend range in the UK. At Luhrs Marine on Portland to be precise (I lived nearby at the time). The Hunter Legend 36 was one of these builds, first produced in 2001 to rival the French brands filling the charter market.
Designed with comfort and usability in mind, the Legend 36 has a simple rig, mainsail driven and in this case all furling. The mainsheet travels on an arch leaving the cockpit free and everything leads back. The side decks and foredeck are uncluttered, even the windlass is recessed!
Going below is where I really noticed the difference between the Legend and her counterparts. She feels very bright and spacious, big hatches allow lots of light and ventilation and the interior finishes are luxurious by production boat standards. The timber gleams and the cream leather saloon seating is smart, giving her a real feeling of much bigger boat.
It seems this boat has had a nice gentle life, the first owner had her for 17 years and clearly cared for her well. She's been re-engined with only 60 hours run so far and her current owner is as meticulous as the last one so she presents beautifully.
These boat details are subject to contract.
