Broker's Comments

It is not often a Westerly Sealord comes up for sale. They have a reputation for being a strong capable cruising yacht with a lot of accommodation, and are well suited as a live aboard.

The owner bought her in 2021 in Portugal and sailed her back to the UK. In 2021 he had new stainless guard rails, new standing rigging, new lazy jacks, new wind generator fitted and purchased a water maker. A spray hood and dodgers were fitted in 2022. She is registered on SSR.

The owner lives on the boat although he is presently buying a house to move back ashore. The aft heads are being used for storage at the moment, mainly because they have an electrical fault and the owner has not got around to getting it fixed. We will get the heads investigated when I can get someone to the boat!

There is not a huge amount of historical paperwork with the boat other than the Bill of Sale when the present owner bought her from a Portuguese gentleman, though I think the boat was based in the UK in 2018 and was sailed to Portugal and sold around that time as there is a copy of a UK survey on the boat dated 2018. She is registered on the SSR.

The owner is paying the Vat again due to Brexit as he brought the boat back into the country in 2021.
