Broker's Comments
Boatshed Wales is pleased to present for sale this Matelot 21.
Originally designed as a robust full-keel fishing or commercial vessel, the Matelot 21 also offers great potential for sailing conversion.
This particular example has undergone a substantial renovation in 2024/25. Previously used for many years as a potting boat, she has been sympathetically restored and now presents as a clean, well-maintained example. She has been repainted inside and out, antifouled, varnished, and fitted with new upholstery and a new sprayhood.
She is powered by a reliable 18hp inboard diesel engine and can be helmed from two positions—forward via a wheel or aft via a tiller. Both helm stations are equipped with hand throttles.
A stable and solid vessel, she would suit a keen angler or anyone looking to explore inland waterways or coastal stretches. Her skeg keel makes her particularly well-suited to drying harbours and tidal moorings.
Included in the sale:
2.5hp auxiliary outboard engine
Single-axle trailer
