Broker's Comments
Here we have a Seamaster 23 sailing boat that has been used for many years as a Broads motor cruiser.
She does not have her mast or rigging and is offered purely as a motor cruiser. If wished you could have her re-masted and easily take her sailing should you wish to.
She is a very nice and cosy little boat that has a lot to offer her new owner. Not least of which is the efficient sailing boat hull that requires very little power to drive her along, thus making the small but very well running and serviced Yanmar engine more than ample to cruise around using an incredibly low amount of fuel.
The engine starts very well and runs superbly. She has a spacious cockpit with good storage and a recent Jeckells canopy which appears to be in excellent order.
The saloon has a convertible dinette to port that will form a small double and the galley is opposite this and a good size. It should be noted that the boat has a gas system fitted but the owner chooses to use a cartridge hob.
The midships area between the saloon and the forward twin cabin has a toilet compartment and storage area and can be curtained off.
The boat has a suite of Nasa instruments but these have never worked according to the owner. He has used the boat as a gentle cruiser to potter about the Broads as she clears all bridges with ease but health issues mean he is reluctantly selling what is a very characterful and nice little boat.
She represents very good value to cruise the Broads and start boating economically. Her toll is paid and she has a current Boat Safety Certificate. Her mooring may also be available by negotiation with the mooring owner.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
