Broker's Comments

This Tide 28 is powered by a Tohatsu 9.8hp outboard. Consequently, the displacement is less than an equivalent 28 footer with an inboard engine. Another consequence is a vast aft cabin area for sleeping.
So it has a competitive edge in speed and generous accommodation.

The lifting keel is worked by a winch in the cockpit rather than levers in the saloon. With a shoal draft when lifted for creek crawling and a typical draught when dropped for open water sailing - it really is versatile.

The hull and topsides are unmarked and there is a survey available. All lines lead back to the cockpit.

The furling foresail has a self tacking mechanism and the mainsail looks to be in good condition to me.

So a versatile and roomy boat for an amazing price.

A little information from her owner:

" Set up for single handed sailing, with all lines leading to cockpit and the self tacking jib, but additionally the Raymarine Axiom and autohelm is a huge bonus in that the boat can pretty much steer itself, following waypoints, leaving just the sail trimming to worry about.

Tacking and gybing are an absolute cinch; press a button on the i70 and the boat does it all by itself with just the main sheet to worry about. It’s an absolute dream to sail single handed. Other boats less-equipped would be a complete handful, especially when the weather picks up!"
